Siding Soft Wash - Worksite Preparation
Share
When performing a roof cleaning, the following worksite preparation steps should be followed.
- Make sure your ladder uses stand-offs in compliance with OSHA guidelines and to reduce the risk of damaging the customer's gutters.
- Take note of any obstruction to the ladder and hose movements around the home.
- Protect or move sensitive objects that may come in contact with the soft wash solution. This can include but is not limited to: furniture, cameras, bird feeders, Christmas lights, spotlights, wall decor, planter boxes, gardens, water reclamation, satellite dishes, solar panels, wood structures, etc.
- Identify any damage or leak areas on the siding where the soft wash solution may leak and damage the property. Make patches as needed or inform the customer.
- Ensure each technician is equipped with OSHA-approved eye protection, respirators, and gloves. You may feel confident using the solution without these items, but safety equipment will deter onlookers from walking through your work area.
- Take photos of the entire siding for documentation and marketing purposes.
