Exposed Wiring

Soft washing is a method of cleaning surfaces using low pressure and specialized detergents. While it is a popular method for cleaning roofs, walls, and other exterior surfaces, it can be dangerous when used near exposed electrical wires.

One of the main dangers of soft washing near exposed electrical wires is the potential for water damage. The low pressure used in soft washing can still cause water to seep into electrical connections, causing damage to the wires and potentially causing a short circuit or fire.

Additionally, the detergents used in soft washing can be corrosive and can cause damage to the insulation on electrical wires. This can make the wires more vulnerable to damage from water and other elements, increasing the risk of a short circuit or fire.

Another potential danger of soft washing near exposed electrical wires is the risk of electrocution. If water comes into contact with live electrical wires, it can create a path for electricity to flow through, putting anyone in contact with the water at risk of being shocked or electrocuted.

In order to avoid these dangers, it is important to take proper precautions when soft washing near exposed electrical wires. This may include covering the wires with protective barriers, turning off the power to the affected area, or even avoiding soft washing altogether in certain areas.
