Setting Expectations
Share
Once you've created an estimate to provide to the customer, it's important to document and review cleaning expectations. Being upfront about how the project should turn out, in your expert opinion, can reduce confusion and create a better customer experience.
This is especially important if you have decided to charge for an attempt at a cleaning instead of guaranteeing a result. A common occurance of this would be with oil stains. If the stain is fresh, there is a small chance that a technician can remove or lighten the stain with the proper chemicals and equipment. But if the stain has had ample time to set in, thee may not be a cleaning solution that will completely remove the stain. In this case, disclose this to the customer so they can make the best decisions for their property.
Reviewing expectations will also give you an opportunity to ensure that you've included all requested components of a project into your scope of work. This will help you gauge a more accurate price and establish a better completion time.
