Pressure Washing - Flat Concrete

Step 1 Prepare the Area

Clear the surface completely of furniture, vehicles, flower pots, decor, or any kind of obstruction that can inhibit your ability to clean the surface. Inspect the area for existing damages and stains. Set expectations with the customer as to what will come out in the cleaning and what will not. Take photos of the entire surface for liability and marketing purposes.

Step 1 Clear Loose Debris

Use a blower or a partially open pressure washer ball valve to clear any loose leaves, sticks, or debris from the surface of the flat concrete.

Step 2 Pressure Wash Edges

Use a white tip of a high pressure j-rod tip to clean the edges of the concrete. Make sure to place the fan tip perpendicular to the edge angled into the concrete and away from the landscaping. Keep the wand 4-8 inches away from the concrete at all times as moving it closer can risk etching. Moves slowly and minimize the number of passes.

Step 3 Pretreat

If possible, apply a 1-2% sodium hypochlorite pretreatment via a downstream injector or soft wash system.
